By further developing the FT 2000 cut-to-length machines, we were able to take yet another important step towards the automation of bowden cable and wire production. The bowden cable sheaths are deburred on the inside and outside directly after cutting and air-cleaned before being further processed. The end of the bowden helix is reduced to the exact helix diameter, using the external deburring process. This new process can be used for steady, reproducible processing of plastic sleeves such as those made from PE, PVC, etc.

Digital length-measuring device
The digital length-measuring device was developed to measure the bowden cable sheaths and wires directly at the cut-to-length machine. The left-hand clamping device is used to fix the wire or the bowden cable sheath. The bowden cable sheath is measured against a limit stop, using the mobile measuring device. The wire is fixed on the right side of the measuring unit and reproducibly measured under constant tension.
